Jungle Island and Zigong Lantern decided to put a twist on the traditional lantern festival by taking inspiration from South Florida and our Magic City. I only saw pizza, dippin dots and drinks offered but may have missed something Read moreįirst of all I would like to thank you for your visit to Jungle Island and Luminosa: A Festival of Light.
It’s clean and the staff seemed helpful and nice. Thankful I had my own!Ĭute place for free (registered 2 days in advance) but not like it once was. They do offer bug spray as you walk in but I missed it. Word of warning, bring bug spray as the mosquitoes are everywhere, particularly near the flamingos. Since my grandson is only 23 months old, we couldn’t do the animal encounters (must be at least 6) and he couldn’t walk the tree trek (must be at least 3 years old). I’d say the park has mostly birds but they also have tortoises, goats, capybaras, lemurs, monkeys and flamingos.
We were there about 2 hours and saw just about everything. It’s not like it used to be as there is just one show with reptiles and birds, splash pad/water feature is gone as doesn’t seem to have as many animals as it once did. My visit to Jungle Island was fun for my 23 mo old grandson.
